Alcan springs and Downey shackles - Part II


...and a plastic circular saw case to support the pinion and drive shaft.

Even a Hi-Lift jack might be useful if you are only working on one side (like when I had to install the Alcan spacer on the left leaf pack).

If you are just installing the shackles, a bottle jack can be really helpful to get things lined up.

Another picture of the Downey shackle installed. Note the "exhaust pipe mod" in the lower right hand corner of the picture. If you install longer shackles, you will find that the tailpipe turns out precisely where the new location of your leaf springs are.
