An oasis in the parched Baja inland, the Comondu villages of San Jose and San Miguel are something to see. A river runs through a deep canyon here, dense with palm groves, orange trees, sugar cane, figs, corn, grapes, bougainvillea and other lush greenery filling the bottom. From here we went on to La Purisima (another Oasis) and eventually back to the coast of the Cortez. This ended up being approximately 140 miles of dirt track adventure : )
